ASCOT and JULY update
1 year 11 months ago - 1 year 11 months ago
Good morning all and time flies.
Hope you had a good Father's day and are ready for Royal Ascot .
As expected Frankie Dettori is all the talk but if you need to have a bet on the leading jockey Ryan Moore is the better option in my opinion.
Ascot day one
Queen Anne:
This should be a great clash between
Modern Games (Buick) and Inspiral (Dettori)
Plus you might want to include Native Trial for the exotics.
Coventry:
River Tiber should make it a hatrick for the Moore,/Obrien machine.
Asadna and Givemethebeatboys include in bigger perms.
King Stand:
Highfield Princess is a high class mare and should go close but you might need a few others, Coolangatta, Manaccan and Dramatised worth including.
St James Palace:
Chaldean (Dettori) Paddington (Moore) should fight this one out.
The other races need to be loaded for the exotics:
Bring on the Night (Moore) in the 5th.
The 6th is a potential field race .
The last should go to Vauban (Moore)
Yes this is the Willie Mullins Cheltenham Hurdle winner.
More to follow tomorrow but what a great weeks racing.
As far as the July as we await the final field. We have couple of friends that look like they will have runners on the big day to add to the festivities and excitement, so fingers crossed.
I am still with Without Question (Fourie) and Safe Passage now with the special jockey booking a big danger.
See it Again justifiably is the fav.
The Garden Province class between Princess Calla and Desert Miracle should be special.
Sorry for any inconvenience as we continue to update and move the site to a new platform.
A couple of sleepless nights .
I have mentioned that I am not allowed to own any more horses and have been looking for a way to keep under the radar and may have found a solution?
Good Punting

Good morning all and day one from Ascot has arrived.
We should have great coverage on DSTV 208 starting at 10.00 as we have no local racing.
Plus the July final field at 11.00.
On our other UK options thread we have :
Thirsk:
Stratford: over jumps where Titanium Moon and Carrigean Kampala look easier bankers than we will find at Ascot.
This evening we have Beverley: where Sub Rosa looks best.
Brighton; also has a banker with Soveraine.
Wexford: jumps also on the program.
Let's get back to the main event from Ascot and I was going to recommend a pick 6 but could not find the option to play on this well promoted event ?
Just some betting updates
Race one
Modern Games 22/10 Inspiral 28/10
Race two
River Tiber 19/10
Asadna 3/1
Note! Givemethebeatboys 8/1 was bought for over a Million pounds yesterday and Frankie rides.
Race three
Highfield Princess 28/10
Coolangatta 4/1
Dramatised 8/1
Manaccan 8/1
Race four
Chaldean 16/10
Paddington 28/10
Race five
Bring on the Night 22/10
Race six
6/1 the field
Race seven
Vauban 15/10 my best bet .
As mentioned I was looking at a pick 6 but options are Jackpot and PA
PA
7x 17x 12x 1x 5x 1,5,9,14 x 7 = R100 is 25 times
Jackpot
1,8 x 5,6,11,17 x field x 7 is R128
Good Punting 👍

The last race is very interesting.
Ruling Dynasty was very impressive on season debut a few weeks back. 4/1
The fav. is Vauban winner of 3 Gr1. hurdles. Back on flat today 1st times since 2021.
Looking forward to Chaldean vs. Paddington
Race 3 Equilateral good ruffie.

Wesley Ward has a phenomenal record with 2yo's at Royal Ascot.
Looking forward to Thursday, when American Rascal whose dam, Lady Aurelia, won twice at Royal Ascot and blitzed them as a 2yo.

Dave, you remember the launching of the Titanic

Did you not say you were close friends with Orville Wright?
