CHIEFS IN ARROWS FIRING LINE!
Arrows look well priced to get through to the Telkom Cup quarter finals
Golden Arrows vs. Kaizer Chiefs
BETTING
90 Minutes
Arrows 22/10
Draw 22/10
Chiefs 12/10
To Progress
Arrows 14/10
Chiefs 6/10
VERDICT
I am a bit wary of Chiefs ability to lift themselves in Cup matches but I can't look past the fact that Arrows are at least their equals at the moment and are being under estimated by the bookies at home. The draw looks a big runner (and always is in local cup matches) and so I will back Arrows to progress at 14/10.
Ajax Cape Town vs. Platinum Stars
BETTING
90 Minutes
Ajax 15/20
Draw 5/2
Platinum Stars 7/2
To Progress
Ajax 9/20
Stars 18/10
VERDICT
Stars will be no pushovers and for me the draw stands out as the value bet here.

HORSERACING
RACING AT GREYVILLE FOR THE MICHAELMAS HANDICAP THIS WEEKEND
Leon Setaro previews the feature and looks for value
Local racing is on Saturday the 18th October where we have a day/night meeting at Greyville under special circumstances – KZN Xmas time! with a R100k goodie bag under each tree except the headliner Michaelmas handicap with R125k on offer. 8 races are carded and with an average of 16 runners each, this is going to be a hotly contested gathering if the weather doesn’t wipe it out. There’s a smorgasbord of big prices to chase throughout evening, the best of which could be in the Michaelmas Handicap listed feature at 18h40. Here we have the proven class-A contenders to benchmark the next generation of upstarts who come into this race looking for the opportunity to shine on the next level.
The Michaelmas Handicap
"Come hither to Meet my Master and his London Guest in Cape Town before they head out on a Modern Odyssey to find Mkushi Gold. Or let’s skip over the Keat’s Drift and go Surfin’ USA during the Winter Weather in St. Raphael. It was here that Seven Heros scooped Olympic Gold and with Black Eyes they celebrated a Royal Day in their Littleredcorvette"
