After the weekend, "nothing compares" πŸ™

Good morning all after an interesting weekend.Β

Zietsman had a conference call with Obrien to discuss why Auguste Rodin and Humble Tune both ran last without trying and if there was any similarities? Aiden says "nothing compares " and hung up.

The Gold Cup meeting was a different kettle of fish with some outstanding performances and nothing compares to Tarry and Fourie.Β

Also nothing compares to Princess Calla for horse of the year and possibly a crack at the Breeders Cup?

Considering my forecast or suggested structure for the pick 6, I should have won the exotic for a reasonable outlay, unfortunately I under played and missed out yet again.Β

No local racing again today however some great UK racing in store this week.

Very little compares to Glorious Goodwood over the next week and a full update will appear on the site.

Just to wet your appetite.Β

Tuesday: KINROSS for FrankieΒ

The Goodwood Cup where Courage Mon Ami renews rivalry with COLTRANE.Β

Wednesday: PADDINGTON looks a blinder in the Sussex.

Thursday: Where the French star BLUE ROSE CEN can win the Nassau.

Friday,: HIGHFIELD PRINCESS.Β

More to follow.Β

It's also great fun entering competitions but nothing compares with actually winning.Β

I managed to win the ABC Gold Cup event and shared the winnings with the Clan.

The better news was that I managed to win the Hollywood Racing Stars competition against some top class opposition and a massive thanks again to Hollywood.Β

If you have watched the insurance add on TV where they asked "have you asked the question " referring to death.

It is an awkward discussion but as my Granny used to say "you are a short time living and a long time dead"Β

Plus my mate Davy Mac used to say "there are people dying now that have never died before" but his nickname was mental Davy.

We are not sure if it's our age group but we have recently not gone through a week where somebody we know has not passed away πŸ™

The biggest fear is who goes first and what is the master plan? Nothing compares to being married for almost 50 years and its a bit late for us to join a gym or start drinking singles.

Good Punting πŸ‘Β

As we say farewell to another special talent.πŸ™
