EAGLE for Scotia XXXL
1 year 9 months ago
Good afternoon all, as we move into Spring.
It's been a busy week on the site. Some highlights as follows:
An update from Dylan Cunha (Sharky) on his excellent progress in the UK and SA support would be appreciated.
Feedback from Vee Moodley on the 50/1 winner that broke the hearts of Zoro and Ziets. They are not bad losers, but the question remains: Why was the winner not tested as per the original article on Sporting Post?
"It started with a kiss thread from Spain."
I can't believe how high profile this incident has become with the Ukraine/Russian conflict moved to page 2 🤧
As far as a normal day in SA for our overseas readers.
Thursday morning I watched the news headlines from SKY and ENCA reporting on the horrendous fire in Joburg that took the lives of over 70 people and injured many more.
The jury is out on who is to blame with much finger-pointing, but the bottom line is that "Rome was not built in a day," but the damage caused over the last 20 years has become impossible to repair.
The power outages have jumped up drastically and have now caused water shortages as there is no power to feed the pumps for the reservoirs.
In addition, the bins have not been collected for three weeks so we all decided to use private companies, but the strikers were having none of that and started attacking them! We just can't win...
However, on a positive note, we have the World Cup to look forward to.
I mentioned this before, but there appears to be a total imbalance between the strength of pools A and B and C and D.
A/B has FRANCE, NEW ZEALAND, SOUTH AFRICA, and IRELAND, and I feel Scotland are potentially better than anyone in group C and D. In contrast, AUSTRALIA, WALES, ENGLAND, and ARGENTINA will be lucky to have two teams in the quarter-finals with little chance of progression. I look forward to your comments.
Friday the 8th at 21.15 is when we kick off with France vs. New Zealand
Then SA vs Scotland on Sunday 10th Sept at 17.45 and the good news is the pub (Hangover) may open.
Racing: we are also a week early as far as good racing.
Saturday the 9th has the Betfair sprint from Haydock, where SHAQUILLE will take some beating even with a slow start and Frankie on Kinross.
Irish Champion Stakes from Leopardstown, where King of Steel tops the boards, but watch for AUGUSTA RODIN making another comeback.
On the 10th from the Curragh, we have HIGHFIELD PRINCESS to get our money back.
Welcome to ABC " Easybet, where betting is as straightforward as it gets!"

As far as my headline is concerned.
Due to leaving Virgin Active 7 years ago after going there on a pensioners day, where I was offered a donut without sugar and cream and the recommendation from my personal trainer was just to eat the hole in the middle. In addition, Virgin does not have a liquor license...
I have steadily gone downhill and find my general size has moved from 2XL to 3XL, and in most standard stores, I have to squeeze to the end of the rack to be lucky enough to find a pair to fit. Slim fit and skinny jeans seem to be the order of the day and they don't appear to have a FB (fat bastard) option in that range.
The word EAGLE has always been used to highlight something special in my life eg a winning horse, or my favourite team scoring etc
Well I found EAGLE Clothing stores, and I am over the moon because the minimum size is 2XL, and they go up from there with a great selection.
Considering the Eagles were one of my favourite bands, and they also lost a member recently, Randy Meisner🙏
I have chosen one of my favourite tracks, written by one of my favourite artists, Paul Carrick.
Good Punting 👍
