As said in my podcast, why on earth do we allow racing to put on handicap maidens?
Only purpose it serves is to give bad horses a win. It's unfair to punters, stud book and the better maidens.
Maybe I'm missing something 🙄😶

Because there is nothing but bad horses in KZN.
Every week it seems to get weaker and weaker.
Bloemfontein was stronger and they had all the rejects from other centres running.

There have been quite a few maiden handicap winners or open maiden winners that have ended up a multiple winner. The most famous currently is Savannah Storm winner of a listed or graded race.

Anyway for every loser there is a winner :cheer:

That was Gold Tax. It beat Global News and Gleaming Sky. I caught all the swingers in the race.

Highborn at any odds won on July Day the 2yo old race is another of my outsider wins.
