Bit of a dog's breakfast today - first Trip of Fortune breaks down and then the less said about the WC Fillies Championship the better - well done to those on Rascova - but even they would admit that on form she should have been held by Mrs Geriatrix (and Winter Cloud) - but this is racing - not too sure that the form will stand up :huh:

......some okes would say anything just to get a ride.....:lol:.....I was expecting bigger things of Bernard today but he and many other much better jocks rode like total appies today......that course has always had a stigma for producing upsets as the surface was said to be inconsistent and for years many of those locals refused to run their better horses there......however that track has over the years been improved vastly ....yet many jocks are still unable to master it....for me it was no shock that most the goodies came unstuck....but by still running into the money as floating bankers still pays..... and a lot better...as for the fillies race which was a bit of a dogs breakfast as my big fancy was for me unexpectedly ridden totally differently and given her head and without any cover ran the field off their feet.....if this was the trainers intention/ instruction then he was simply trying to spoil the pace for the stable companion to take on the goodie like he did earlier on upsetting Tarry's other star....Rascova's dam was an out and out tearaway and was best over the minimum trip as they could never get her to settle.... and I thought Rascova would fall in a hole similarly but the dam line has stamina further back thus easily kept going.....all things equal and no spoiling tactics.....imo she would still have managed to be in the frame.... . ..
