RACE 1


1 SEA OF TEARS 2 AN AIR OF PRIDE 9 PRETTI VICTORY 10 MASCHERINA


Summary: Mostly first timers so keep an eye on the market. Of those that have run, AN AIR OF PRIDE (2) has shown some improvement in blinkers but was beaten in modest company last time out. SEA OF TEARS (1) is a long-time maiden but seldom too far back and has the best of the draw. The balance have shown little. MASCHERINA (10) and PRETTI VICTORY (9) have smart pedigrees and may prove the best of the debutantes. (Andrew Harrison: 1-2-9-10).


RACE 2


9 ELUSIVE BELLE 6 RAINBOW Of ROSES 7 DYAMONDIA 4 SATIN IN SEATTLE


Summary: Tricky maiden. ELUSIVE BELLE (9) only got going late last run and finished a creditable second to the short-priced favourite. She will much prefer this trip. RAINBOW OF ROSES (6) made good improvement second time out at long odds. She should much prefer this trip. DYMONDIA (7) has been much improved at her last two, both on the poly. SATIN IN SEATTLE (4) is a late starter and has had one start for her new stable. The step up in trip should suit and she is one to watch in the betting. (Andrew Harrison: 9-6-7-4).


RACE 3


2 BOSNAY 5 SEA GODDESS 10 GARDINIA 12 AQUAE SULIS


Summary: BOSNAY (2) has been making steady progress and was not far back on the poly last time out. The switch back to turf should suit. SEA GODDESS (5) has been up against stronger at recent outings and has not been far back. She does have a big weight but the drop in class could see her home. GARDENIA (10) just needed her last outing after a three-month break. She is useful and at best will have a big chance. AQUAE SULIS (12) is over due another win. She has a handy weight here and should feature prominently. (Andrew Harrison: 2-5-10-12).


RACE 4


3 PONGOLA 2 TIME TAKER 1 LEOPARD LADY 10 SAFE SPACE


Summary: PONGOLA (3) had little chance behind champion See It Again in the wet last time out. But he takes a drop in class here and the stable appears to have turned the corner with a double last Wednesday. TIME TAKER (2) does appear to be a little better on the poly but he takes a drop in class coupled with a 4kg claimer. LEOPARD LADY (1) is only a one-time winner but is seldom out of the action at the end of a race. She has been a beaten favourite at her last two. SAFE SPACE (10) may prefer it a little further but has been close up at recent outings to stronger and could surprise. (Andrew Harrison: 3-2-1-10).


RACE 5


1 CONTRA FISCUM 9 WAR EMPRESS 2 KENNEDY 7 CHELSEA FLOWER


Summary: CONTRA FISCUM (1) cantered up when shedding her maiden for her new stable. She collected a hefty rating for that win but looks good enough to follow up in this company. WAR EMPRESS (9) comes from a red-hot stable and was close-up behind the useful Sabatini last time out. She should go close. CHELSEA FLOWER (7) has been knocking at the door of late but this may be a touch short of her best. KENNEDY (2) comes off some useful Cape form. She showed up well first run back after a lengthy break and is one to watch. (Andrew Harrison: 1-9-2-7).


RACE 6


4 BRAVE VOYAGER 5 BUSTER KEATON 6 ALL THE TIME 8 WINTER WAVES


Summary: BRAVE VOYAGER (4) was running on late last run when sent over a mile and the drop back and he could be better suited to this shorter trip. BUSTER KEATON (5) has been knocking at the door of late. He has gone close over course and distance from a tough draw and a repeat could see him home. ALL THE TIME (6) is another with consistent recent form. The trip suits and with a 1.5kg allowance he must be a runner. WINTER WAVES (8 ) is comfortable over the trip and has a 4kg claimer up to help his chances. (Andrew Harrison: 4-5-6-8 ).


RACE 7


9 STATUS QUO 7 VALERIAS DREAM 1 FORT J’ADORE 2 LUCKY MISS


Summary: Plenty in with chances so you either nail it down to a couple of likely horses or go very wide. STATUS QUO (9) won second time of asking and looks the pick of the stable runners with Richard Fourie aboard AFRICAN BEAT ( who has been rested. The stable is in hot form. VALERIAS DREAM (7) takes a big drop in class and is both course and distance suited. FORT J’ADORE (1) is something of a distance specialist and although her last two wins have come on the poly she has won on the turf. LUCKY MISS (2) is seldom far back and goes well this trip. The apprentice claim will help her chances. (Andrew Harrison: 9-7-1-2).


RACE 8


2 INTREPID 1 GLOBAL SECRET 3 RAFIKI 4 MAGWINYA


Summary: Tough handicap. INTREPID (2) was close-up when taking on stronger last start but the step down in class sees him carrying joint top weight with GLOBAL SECRET (1) who comes off a good run of form on the poly and now switches to the turf. RAFIKI (3) has been racing well on the poly. The switch to turf may suit. MAGWINYA (4) had a tough draw tow runs back and made good improvement next time out. He is not without a chance. (Andrew Harrison: 2-1-3-4).

All the talk is for the first timer in the first
Pritti Victory and hopefully it will be.
Dymondia to give Fourie another winner.
