The layout that ABC had up until 2 days ago was the best that ABC has ever had. Now they go and change it to this awful look. Just my honest opinion. When you changed it to the one you just had I did post that it was the best ever so I am not being a prick

HI all.
I am not going to go into all of the technical reasons and explanation. however, just so you understand a bit better and are aware of the current situation with regards to the upgrades we are making.
We are upgrading the core software of the platform and have to upgrade it by 2 major versions. Yesterday we did the 1st major version which was the most severe. We have not focused on the "look and feel" of the site at all during this phase as it is far less important than the system.
Today we are working through the second and latest version, and we hope to be done by tonight if all goes well.
From Monday, we will then begin to re-design the site entirely, once all of the technical and software side of things is settled and working the way it should.
Why does it take so long?
Well the site is quite frankly huge. over 20 years worth of messages, when we do a test upgrade it takes minimum 3 hours just to test the upgrade with a backup. That was what the downtime was yesterday.
Why the downtime?
Because its a forum with live data... We cant upgrade major versions without stopping you chaps from adding data to the site all the time.
The alternative to what is happening now was to have the site down for 3-4 days, which I am sure no one would have appreciated. I understand this is frustrating and annoying, we are doing our best.
Thanks for the feedback, but we are not going to attend to any issues or visual changes until next week.
Any questions, please feel free to ask.
Have a good one

Thanks for the feedback. The site seems a bit slower to respond, but here's hoping that part 2 and tweaks going further, sort it all out. All the best

The site will be offline from 5pm today for at minimum 4 hours.
I hope the performance improves, but if it doesn't we will work on it in the week.
You should start to see visual improvements from Monday onwards.
Thanks for your patience.
