MR is theory - and sometimes it goes all pear-shaped; today was the ideal conditions ( a deteriorating track with some runners not being able to put in the necessary work) for it to do so; obviously Rockie Reef appreciated the going more and is a late-maturer that has been rated too low (but even so she would have needed the higher-rated horses to run below form for whatever reason) - Marigold Hotel barely gets 1600 on a good track and imo Lady of Power is too high in the ratings - take a look at the form behind None Other - Rockie Reef recently finished 3.45 lengths behind NO giving that one 2 kgs (I rated her 97 on that effort) - LOP finished 3.5 lengths behind NO at level weights (granted quite some time ago) - today RR received 2 kgs from LOP - still not easy to find courtesy of a 'Christmas' jock where Fourie could easily have taken the ride 

I must agree with Frodo. 
Marigold only just gets the mile and in testing conditions was not able to run to her rating.
Lady of Power is not very consistent and has previously not run too well at Greyville.
However, I still thought they they would be good enough, especially since the KZN horses have not had tracks to do all their work.
I included both Foreshore and Minogue in my jackpot as they are improving 3yos.
Rockie Reef has won 3 of her previous 5 wins in the wet and today things went her way as she has the stamina to cope with the testing conditions as she is probably better over further.

As regards Minogue .... when I saw how short she was I went back and looked at her form and could not make a case for her. I am some how missing something !!
