HOLLYWOODBETS KENILWORTH SATURDAY 06 JAN - KING’S PLATE
1 year 5 months ago - 1 year 5 months ago
] Hi guys, I may have found a spook in R 1.
If I can start the day with a 12 / 1 shot that will be Brilliant.
R 1 LADIES race where I think only 2 of them have actually been race riding.... that being Vickie LERENA ( Badenhorst )
& Kelsey MUNGER..... Ryan's wife.
THE Mungers are away from CANADA during the winter break. I'm sure Kelsey would luv to go back having won
a ladies race.
It's common knowledge that Justin Snaith just luvs to win R 1 on LKP day.... that normally sets him off for the day & blows the cobwebs away.
All trainers try win as many races for Gaynor as possible... SHE does not have her own runner in R1 but has shares in GIMMETHELIMELIGHT 12 /1
HORSE WENT 1600 LAST time...maybe a tad too far beaten 4.3 L now reverts to 1200m.... I actually prefer it wen a horse tries further then comes back in distance.
I know Snaith has another horse fav.... but many a time the WRONG ONE comes home lonely.
Blinkers on 1st time, a jockey with racing experience rides.... so that's enough for me.... 12 /1 even better..?. I have gone e /way.
If he WINS for my ABC competition..... I would have gone 30 L Clear..
FRODO & I an family will be at the LKP...... good punting guys an gals.

Are we using this thread for tomorrow?
The two most punted or adjusted horses on the card are :-
R2) Roman Agent (9/2 - 3/1 - 5/2 - 18/10)
R6) Beach Bomb (5/1 - 4/1 - 33/10 - 28/10) (think this is a superstar in the making)
Odds 9/1

Odds 9/1
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

# Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Summer Course 6 January 2024 – Comments by Warren Lenferna
Race 1: Preview: WISSA’S ON FIRE (9) made a smart debut in KZN where the form line of that race has sparked up nicely. He can go one better under the urgings of lady work rider Danielle Rivalland. GIMMETHELIMELIGHT (8 ) can be forgiven for her last run when finishing downfield in eleventh. Her form before that makes her a bright chance here. GRAVITY (7) has finished second in his last two and can go one better – big runner. (Warren Lenferna 9-8-7)
Race 2: Preview: ROMAN AGENT (4) put in a huge run when making his debut 3 weeks ago and was the fastest finisher in the race. He should have learnt a lot from that and might end up being too strong for the opposition. In saying that, it is never and won’t be that easy as there are many unknown unraced runners in the line up too, as well as raced runners with form. BJORN IRONSIDE (13) and MASTER CASPER (14) caught the attention in their first runs and have big, big chances. (Warren Lenferna 4-13-14)
Race 3: Preview: THUNDERSTRUCK (1) and ISIVUNGUVUNGU (4) look set to fight this out. Thunderstruck made a smart winning Cape introduction 41 days ago and can follow up. He has solid form, ability and a strong chance. Isivunguvungu is a champion sprinter that returns from a 160-day rest. He can race fresh and even though more than likely not at his peak, could still win. BEREAVE (2) absolutely flew late last time in the race won by Thunderstuck. He should be in the mix again. (Warren Lenferna 1-4-2)
Race 4: Preview: MRS GERIATRIX (7) may have just needed her last two runs in the Cape to tighten up and certainly caught the eye last time when charging home to finish fourth behind Beach Bomb. That was a huge effort and her overall form needs no elaborating on. She drops in trip to 1200m where she is 1/1 over and she is selected to bounce right back to winning ways. THREE ROCKS (2) from the Alan Greeff yard nearly won her last start here at this course when finishing her race off like a rocket. She can be expected to give plenty cheek. RASCOVA (11) and KWINTA’S LIGHT (1) are musts for the quartet. (Warren Lenferna 7-2-11)
Race 5: Preview: AT MY COMMAND (4) finished second to See It Again last time and has solid, strong overall form. He has a bright winning chance. PACAYA (5) ran a massive race last time when flying to nearly win. He was inconvenienced in the closing stages and was rather unlucky. He has ability and a strong each way chance here. WATERBERRY LANE (8 ) is capable of a bold run – a must for the trifecta. (Warren Lenferna 4-5-8 )
Race 6: Preview: PRINCESS CALLA (3) is an eleven-time winner and a champion. She looks cherry ripe to bounce right back to winning ways. She tops the best weighted column by many points and is the firm first choice. RED PALACE (2) ran out of her skin last time when nearly beating Snow Pilot – she clearly is very talented and can give plenty cheek. BEACH BOMB (4) came from last, last time to post a scintillating victory – she has won three from five and is a massive contender too. (Warren Lenferna 3-2-4)
Race 7: Preview: SEE IT AGAIN (4) was a course and distance Grade 2 winner last time when prepping for this and the rest of the season – he took breaths away, he was so impressively! He is confidently selected to make it three-in-a-row. HLUHLUWE (10) has solid overall form and a solid chance. He is an exciting three-year-old colt. CHARLES DICKENS (7) has won nine from twelve and we all know how great and good he is! Massive chance – massive runner! (Warren Lenferna 4-10-7)
Race 8: Preview: DOUBLE CHARGE (13) is holding form, ran an absolute cracker last time when coming from way back and not getting a clear passage. All things being equal this time, he can get into the winner’s enclosure. In saying that, it will not be easy as it is an extremely tough and competitive race. FUTURE VARIETY (16) is progressive, won well last time and can follow up. TENANGO (6) is the place value suggestion and there are many others that can run well too – competitive field! (Warren Lenferna 13-16-6)
Race 9: Preview: NEBRAAS (9) put in a huge performance last time when nearly winning. He is the firm first choice. ARAGOSTA (8 ) trotted up last time and can be expected to give plenty cheek – big runner – strong each way claims and BLACK THORN (6) has a strong place chance. (Warren Lenferna 9-8-6)
