Richard Fourie needs a break.

He's not riding up to his usual brilliant standards.

In the last 100 rides he has won on 1 of 6 odds on shots.

This working 7 days a week and spending a chunk of your life in airports and aeroplanes must be torture,

Take a break, catch some fish and come back refreshed.

This incentive to beat previous records not worth it.

This is absolutely not a criticism.

I do agree,making it a numbers game isn’t worth it. He has the championship in the bag as the previous winners are all overseas and he is left with major support.
What did surprise me is that on Thursday instead of doing the final important sprint up on his grade 1 runners on kings cup day he travels to jhb to compete in maiden plates to try get numbers up.
