TIPSY TINA/ELLAS DELIGHT and VARIETY BREEZE can all make the exotics slash ART pay well in Race 5.....TT should go very close today while ELLA will lead from the off with a strong tailwind forecasted
The growth in the Mitchley stable has been remarkable- she fields 19 runners today- the same number as the powerful Smith yard.
Race 1 If Shine in Memphis runs to best form is the horse to beat but hasn’t been consistent in Gauteng. Best intentions and Gotcha Buzz are capable. Nairobi and What Now My Gal are 4yos that can pop up.
The fist timers haven’t attracted support but don’t have to be stars to feature.
race 2 Sea of Tears looks the one to beat, and the stable has backup with Kitty Mo. Venetian Moonlight the danger.
Our filly Countess of the Stars ran better on turf after 3 very poor poly efforts, and hoping that she can build on that, but needs quite a bit of improvement.
race 3 Mitchley yard again a strong hand and any of their 3 could win. This is a maiden handicap so anything can happen.
race 4 Definitely Maybe and Pinnacle should fight it out. Rose of Bayeux has a chance.
race 5 Competitive. Esther has strong form. Enchanted Sky is capable Tipsy Tina is competitive with the 4kg claim. Lady Majorca could improve further.These look the principals but a few others with chances.
Race 6 Rose for Trippi and European Summer should fight it out. Vision of Wonder and Cool Winter the dangers.
race 7 Ellis Island and St Cloud look the main two, with Reach for the Stars a danger.
race 8 The usual open affair to end the day.
And not just last, 8 to 10 lengths behind the second to last horse in every race.
But no disrespect to the previous trainer, as the same thing could have happened if the roles were reversed, horses can throw their previous form away when change of stables occur.
