Is Green or Gween unlucky, or will we be Cwying?

Good morning all.

It's going to be difficult to improve on last weekends sporting events.

We had the boxing where the Ukrainian boxer Usyk took the Fury from Tyson (green shorts)
Usyk must be one of the best pound for pound boxers in history.

On the subject of pound for pound singers, who came to mind was Tom Jones. You will recall he was the extremely successful singer from Wales probably around the same time as Frank Sinatra. He recently reinvented himself at the age of 73 years, sporting a new look with new songs. Personally, I think you would be hard pushed to find a better singer than Tom Jones then or now.

I remember his classic "The Green, Green Grass of Home".
At one stage I couldn't get the song out of my mind 😴

Eventually I had to consult a Doctor & was blown away when he said "you have TJS " I said "what's that?" He replied "Tom Jones Syndrome"
I asked "is it common?"
He replied
"It's not Unusual"

Man City (blue) beat Arsenal (red) and then we had the big farewell to Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool (red). Not sure if we have a "green team" in the premier league 🤔

Having been born & raised in Edinburgh, Scotland I supported Heart of Midlothian I.e. the Hearts (maroon/red) our enemy was Hibernian I.e. the Hibs (green). It was much the same in Glasgow with Rangers (blue) and the enemy Celtic (green).

We were always told not to wear green to a racetrack as it's deemed unlucky but I am sure "GREEN" WITH ENVY will take away that fear for the punters on Saturday in the daily news 2000.

We had Betway on the site last week offering 13/2 for the double going into the July and it looks like a bargain as after Saturday GWE should go 5/2 ish.

Racing this weekend and a few hotties for an ATC

Today at Turffontien
Scars of War
"Green" Sapphire

PE Friday
Confetti
King of Queen

Saturday
The "Green" With Envy double

Should give you around 30/1
If you fancy another horse in July just take the 9/1.

I feel sure that the lyrics in the Green, Green Grass of Home alluded to Ireland as well as Wales, or it could just be anywhere re your definition of home. I've been to Ireland & can vouch for the green, green grass.

Curragh in Ireland is this weekend's highlight for me with Opera Singer 1000gns (open) Rosallion 2000gns (punt) and the Gold Cup has the return of Auguste Rodin after his disappointing run at Meydan

Just to unwind before the election and take my mind of Zuma😡

Only Fools and Horses can always put a smile on your face.
Here is another classic where Delboy books Tony a local singer to sing for the mother of the gangster brother's at her birthday party.

Had to use both videos

Good Punting 👍

Very good read as always Dave !

That was one of the many classic epsiodes , they unfortunately don't make them like that anymore.

Looking forward to Green with Envy on the weekend , I think he would have come on from the Guineas run and we could see something special on Saturday.

Yep, I either take a Pick 5 like everyone else. Or go for the Pick 6

That's why we all love this game . Very subjective to say the least.

Personally can't see Frances Ethel or Green with Envy getting beat so will look for train smash in the other 4 legs .

Good luck to all and don't  wear Gween tomorrow if you have any sense 👌

Focus on carry over pick 6 and looks rather difficult
will go and see George my financial advisor

I guess GREEN has to be banker

Plus good racing overseas
Vandeek is a star and runs at Haydock
Roscallion can win the 2000gns in Ireland

Good Punting 👍
