Will Lucky Lad run? Will take the beating if he does, 9/2 at WSB looks massive

Lucky Lad, sensational winner of the Golden Horse Sprint, has been declared to run just seven days later in this weekend's R2-million Hollywoodbets Gold Challenge (Gr1) over 1600m. He joins fellow leading 3yo's Sandringham Summit, Main Defender and Snow Pilot in the final field of 13 runners in what promises to be a thrilling renewal of South Africa's highest rated race.
Add in to the mix, the re-appearance of See It Again, recent IOS Drill Hall Stakes winner, Royal Aussie, as well as the resurgent Cousin Casey and Dave The King, we have all the ingredients for a memorable Hollywoodbets Gold Challenge. Certainly a race not to be missed - a mouthwatering classic match between the country's top 3yo's and the leading lights of the older generations.

This year's renewal has to be one of the strongest in years
Can make a case for at least 4 or 5 runners.
