The track got progressively more cut-up as the day progressed and this was one of the few races where the horse kept it's position to the finish, The later races became a bit of dodgems with, bar October Morn, the rest of the winners down the straight not being able to run in a straight line. But still very interesting...thanks for this

was the 1st thing I noticed when doing the sectionals....everything was was much faster. Early pace.....even finishing pace. My conclusion was it was 1 of 2 things.....

1) there was a strong tailwind blowing or

2) the track...for that race atleast was just super fast. Not so long ago I explained how useless it is to look at OverallRACE times explaining where in HK I have seen time and time again CLASS 5 horses break the course and distance record. That is days when the track was running super fast.

but as will be seen in my report....Vice versa  can also happen.....In that race only 1 horse came from the back becoz it was suited to the frontrunners...

but all other Sprints....MOST of the TOP 5 finishers of every RACE...about 80 - 90% of them came from the back....simply becoz the track ran 'heavy' and they were suited best. All the Brilliant finishes was aided by a 'heavy' track (meaning favours horses running on) So most of those who were orlooked so brilliant might have been a case of 'best in favour' As allsprints was run at very fast fractions up front

Or maybe the time for the maiden race was just incorrectly reported?? There are often mistakes with reported times.
There was only a length and a half between the first three, so very hard to believe that three maidens are capable of gr1 class times. The well exposed Queen bee (MR68) was 4th beaten just 3.5L.

Thank you, PeterD...I just watched the video replay and the time just in a rough eyeball looked to be about 69s and not the 67,4s

Frankie Zackey... What's even more worrying is that the fillies carried 60kg opposed to that of the Golden Horse Sprint runners who all carried only 54,5kg barring Dyce
