HOLLYWOODBETS DURBAN JULY FINAL LOG

See It Again retains top spot on the Hollywoodbets Durban July log as issued by Gold Circle earlier today. Supplementary entries, Double Superlative, winner of the 2024 WSB Cape Town Met (Gr 1), and Flag Man, a close second behind Green With Envy in the Daily News 2000 (Gr 1), occupy positions 4 & 6 respectively.

Double Superlative has accepted to run in a Pinnacle Stakes over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Saturday, his first appearance since his “Met” victory, and his performance will provide a valuable clue as to his current well-being.Dual Grade1-winning 3yo, Green With Envy, is the 28/10 ante-post favourite with the sponsors, while See It Again (9/2) and recent Hollywoodbets Dolphins Cup Trial winner, Oriental Charm (7/1) , are the only other two runners quoted in single figures. Defending champion Winchester Mansion is currently on offer 12/1 along with Royal Victory and Flag Man, while record breaking Richard Fourie’s ride, Future Swing, is at 10/1.

I seem to recall that one of the connections of Main Defender indicated that it would not run?

should HE WIN,    will his weight go UP in the July  ?

OR  does Snaith say - give him a nice easy gallop  ???

Hoping for a big run from a runner in the Oaks to give the panel something to think about

I accept that Dave The King may not see out the distance or may not even run. However I have taken bucket loads of atcs etc at 50s & 40s & 25s & places, He literally didnt raise a sweat in his last 2 wins.
Heres hoping ??

I believe it depends on how far he wins - if he does ? It is a fixed-weight race - so Without Question is 2nd best in behind Zeus; my guess is that he would not be 100% yet (3 weeks to go) - but if he does win I think he might go up - so the best result for him would be to run a place ?

I think he will run - he has nothing to lose; I think he will place, but as you say, the trip is the problem
