Star three-year-old filly Autumn Glow will play no further part in the spring after suffering a minor injury on the eve of the G1 Flight Stakes for which she was a long odds-on favourite.

Chris Waller on Friday morning said the filly was found to be lame with x-rays showing a minor chip in her right front knee which requires surgery.

“This is very disappointing for all involved, particularly the horse,” Waller said in a statement.

“She is a very exciting prospect, and we are confident that she will make a full recovery.”

The unbeaten Autumn Glow was set to be one of the star fillies of the spring after bursting onto the scene winning at Rosehill in August.
