Small fields leading to small pools - lovely day, but not even hinting at the first rains in spring .... thoughts -
R1: As per the betting, Far Reaching has to fall over to lose
R2: Lacewing also odds on - but not as clear cut as she tends to be run out of it - but hard to see which one could do it
R3: Accept Cookies improved in her 2nd start over this trip, but was beaten by both Stroopsoet and Sunfire in her debut over 1000 - so at evens look too short in the market imo - and then Tipperary has a chance as well from pole position - and her best form has plenty of winners
R4: For me, I'm not convinced about the form of Kaleesh Cyborg's debut - so I am in the corner of Busstopinhounslow from pole position - he is out of a Silvano mare, so chances are that he will prefer the trip; de Kock first-timer does not seem fancied - so perhaps Chieftain's Shield and Force de Deiu can run into the placings
R5: Bingwa has a win and a 2nd over this track and trip, so rates the one to beat imo; Key Elememt not well in att he weights and also seems to lack a finish, so I fancy Bingwa - and the others seem well held; Swing Upon a Star a half-brother to stayer Flying Bull - but best form has been over sprints - so who knows ?
R6: I make it between the 3-yr olds Lead The Charge, who holds Buffalo Storm Cody - they get 3kgs from Taxi to the Moon and also the stable jock is on Buffalo Storm Cody
R7: Chasing Happiness the right one imo; Force Eight not well weighted and Happy Mo seems better over further,; danger could be Betula from a good draw and well weighted with the 2,5kg allowance
R8: Competitive handicap, but I think it lies between Millahue and King's Express; I prefer KE as M iis better at a galloping track; Striker could be a danger on Juliet Tango, but imo is held on form like the rest
R9: I think Ariel's Jet the one to beat from Sensoria and Springer, who both have wider draws to contend with; Mighty Goddess has a good draw, but yet to prove that she stays 1800
