MDK 1st timers in race 2. Always good to see well bred runners debut.
Tony peter yard has been expensive to follow of late. Here is hoping thing turn from today.
Lerena some good rides.
Race 8 no one will wanna run within 10 lengths of barbaresco.
Good days racing

After yesterday's disaster at Fairview (and I expected many of the hotties to be rolled - but not by complete roughies), there are plenty of hotties to re-coup losses today - or not ? It hasn't really rained yet - but the forecast is for showers - which may change things (as we saw yesterday) - thoughts:
R1: I do think Master Casper the right one - good form and getting 3kgs from the danger Lead the Charge
R2: Trappy race imo - Poplar Park not a great debut, so the de Kock debutantes should go close - but which one ? I think Sunfire the danger - tries blinkers and a good draw, while Chasing Shadows has pole position and Muzi up - not easy
R3: I think both Sutherland and Tiger Storm are above average and I expect them to fight it out from Inspector James
R4: Roman's Revenge ready to win; Jaham reportedly needs gelding but should improve more over 1800 and is the danger
R5: Towers of Gold hard to beat from pole position; I think Gamer prefers 1600 and is threatening to win, but Muzi seemingly prefering the hottie; Obsidian may improve this trip while the ex-Cape filly Coral Blaze gets 3 kgs from the males (and 6 kgs from the year-older Gamer) - so could surprise
R6: Typical handicap - top 2 imo Chasing Happines and So Seductive - but even There She Goes not out of it
R7: Another handicap - for me Nettleton gets blinkers again and is the one to beat; Micke's Bomb gets pole position which will help, but she has not won for more than a year; Golden Aspen has won this track and trip, so could be dangerous with Phantom Express if ignoring her last run
R8: Barbaresco most likely in need of the run, but he does like softer conditions (if they pan out) and would need to be very ring-rusty to be beaten; Sukhumvit gets 9,5 kgs from B, but also returns from a break and does seem better further; the others have mountains to climb at the weights - so if one does not fancy the top 2 in the betting, rather take all of them in the exotics
R9: Competitive handicap; Confederate all the rage, but has it all to do imo; beaten by Pressonregardless in his first start, who subsquently ran behind Golden Pavilion who has a good draw and gets a tongue-tie - has won in the soft, but as a 1-time winner from 19 starts would need improvement; Shinto Shrine tries blinkers so muast have chance; roughie might be Hazlo Grande - had 2 recent fair runs at this track and may like softer conditions
Enjoy.

My Bipot out leg one.
MDK import looked like the handler spooked her. Before getting scratched.
