Davys still on the road......
7 months 2 weeks ago
Good morning all,
We’re still on the road, and it’s been an incredible journey! South Africa truly has some breathtaking scenery and hidden gems. Graaff Reinet was a charming stopover, and Brenton on the Lake is an absolute treasure – we now understand why our friends made the move. The Wilderness is also stunning, and we’ll be here until Sunday before heading to Port Alfred.
Now, onto the weekend punting action!
Ascot is the highlight on Saturday:
Kyprios looks unstoppable and should continue his winning ways.
Kinross has the in-form Rossa Ryan in the saddle.
Kalpana is chasing a hat-trick.
Charyn boasts superb form.
Economics can make it five in a row.
Thunder Run, with Ryan Moore on board, promises a spectacular end to the day.
On the local front:
PE today: Kings Regent is the banker.
Saturday’s double header:
Durbanville: A solid card; keep an eye on Cork Bay and Double Grand Slam, who’s something special.
Turffontein: Another strong card. See It Again still leads the Summer Cup betting and shares favouritism with Green With Envy for the Met.
On a personal note, I’ve been concerned about the state of the world 😡, but I haven’t watched Sky or local news since we left Pretoria. Our friends have blessed us with a sort of "bubble," allowing us to simply enjoy life—and it’s been something truly special 🙏.
Here’s a link to Kyprios, who’s run 18 times for 14 wins, including 8 Group Ones! 😀
Good punting! 👍

Dave are you not covering Royal Randwick. I fancy Pericles in the feature race9 @ 26/1.
