WALES V SOUTH AFRICA
The Springboks are 7-point favourites for their Test match against Wales at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday afternoon.
BETTING
Outright
Wales 22/10 (R3.20)
Draw 35/1 (R36.00)
South Africa 9/20 (R1.45)

Handicap
Wales +7.5 at 19/20 (R1.95)
South Africa –7.5 at 19/20 (R1.95)

BETTING VERDICT
South Africa to beat the handicap looks like the way to bet in this match. Wales are probably not quite as strong as their Six Nations form suggests, and the Springboks are at full strength and have a formidable record against them.

SUGGESTED BET
The Boks look worth backing for victory by 8 points or more.

At the time of writing, the forecast for Cardiff on Saturday was for cold weather with 50% chance of rain. However, with the roof of the Millennium Stadium closed, the match should be played in dry conditions whatever the weather.

RUGBY
SCOTLAND V NEW ZEALAND
The bookmakers have given Scotland no chance against New Zealand in Edinburgh this Saturday. The home side have been given a 20.5 point start.
BETTING
Outright
Scotland 14/1 (R15.00)
Draw 80/1 (R81.00)
New Zealand 1/16 (R1.06)

Handicap
Scotland +20.5 17/20 (R1.85)
New Zealand –20.5 21/20 (R2.05)

BETTING VERDICT
New Zealand appear to be the side to back on the handicap in this match. They may not be at full strength but past results suggest they should still be too good for a Scotland side that has struggled this year.

SUGGESTED BET
The All Blacks still look worth backing to win by 21 points.

At the time of writing, the forecast for Edinburgh on Saturday was for cold and cloudy weather with a 25% chance of showers. This does not affect the suggested bet.

HORSE RACING
KZN RACING WEEKEND PREVIEW
Leon Setaro previews the feature and looks for value
KZN racing this weekend is at Greyville on Saturday under lights and although we’re still far from the excitement of season time in these parts, it’s certainly a vast improvement on recent gatherings.

On Thursday morning I went to visit Chapperal Place the home of Cunha Racing and if anyone is to lay claims to the winner’s enclosure this weekend it must be Dylan Cunha. In the last 2 months the stable has managed 7 second places with a whopping 6 of those by way of shorthead defeat. Oh-so-close yet the winners continue to elude them here in KZN. Looking at their prospects for Saturday however, this run of 2nds is likely to be halted-dead as the stable arrives with a strong hand for the night meeting - leave them out at your peril.
