DONALD where's your troosers? 🤣

Good Afternoon Punters!

Hope you're all having a fantastic time, especially as our good friend Zietsman continues to bring joy to his new owners. His enthusiasm and transparency have been a breath of fresh air in what can be a tough game.
I was reminiscing about some of my favourite songs for this weekend’s post when my sister sent me an old video of my younger self—reminding me exactly why I never qualified for a Smart card in SA!
Speaking of throwbacks, "Donald" has been quite the topic of discussion lately, delivering some classic statements over the past few weeks. Luckily, he’s got Gary and Elon to provide him with some much-needed South African perspective. As for the idea of the Gaza Strip becoming a tourist mecca in a few years? That one just about knocked my kilt off! 🙃

Sporting Highlights

Port Elizabeth - Friday
Richard Fourie has some top-class mounts, with Craig Zackey snapping at his heels, while Zietsman is always ready to throw a spanner in the works.

Greyville - Friday

Gavin Lerena is in flying form and looks set to continue his hot streak. A few All To Comes (ATCs) could be worth a go here.

Saturday - A Double Header to Cover All Contingencies
Because, let’s face it—racing has its fair share of unexpected delays: lightning, ambulance issues, jockey complaints, power cuts... you name it!
Turffontein
Richard Fourie looks well-placed to win with Easy Tiger, while Gavin Lerena remains the one to follow. Keep an eye on Zeus, a special horse with plenty of ability.
Kenilworth
Chad Little is riding well and should be included in your selections, while Craig Zackey is another jockey likely to add to his tally.

UK Racing Newbury - Saturday
  • Bravemansgame can bounce back to form.
  • Sir Gino should make it 7 from 7 and strengthen his credentials as the Arkle favourite.
With Cheltenham only a few weeks away, a few names to keep in mind for your multiples:
  • Kopek Des Bordes in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle
  • Sir Gino in the Arkle
  • Brighterdaysahead in the Mares' Hurdle
  • Ballyburn in the Brown Advisory
  • Jonbon in the Champion Chase
  • Galopin Des Champs 🏆 in the Gold Cup
Football
Newcastle vs. [Opponent]
The Toon Army will be buzzing for this one!
I am hoping for Spurs but expecting Liverpool and was only 5 when the Geordies last won a domestic trophy 🏆

On a Different Note…
Jeopardy with Stephen Fry is still blowing my mind. Some of the contestants’ general knowledge is truly incredible but Fry himself is next level. Getting into the swing of it, though!

Dept of Home Affairs our last trip was just to "collect" at Menlyn, another nightmare for another day.

Good Punting! 👍
