I think this is indicative of the Horse Population in SA .

7 acceptors in the London News at Turffontein on Saturday is poor.

This year was probably the weakest MET field we have seen in a long time.

Even maiden races are very thin in numbers - a sign of things to come?

I reckon big part of the field sizes in outdated Merit rating system, that no longer workjs for the size of SA horse population. That and possible racing calendar issues.

No one will run anywhere near the top 2 in the Derby.

The sprint race we have to hope the odss on is healthy on the day.
