kevin Shea's ride in the 2nd race

Any views on Shea's ride in the 2nd at Greyville tonight.

Being the champion rider that he is touted to be, and now riding high on the international circuit, one would have thought that he would know how to steer a horse home.

Sculptor should have won going away, had he kept a straight line, instead the horse comes flying while shifting to right across the track, probably losing 5 to 10 lengths in the process, only to be checked in the closing stages...and lo and behold, he loses on the line.

Any chance of an enquiry into the way he rode ?, or will the blame be put on the horse.

Rather difficult not to be sceptical, when a top jockey rides in this manner.

All blame belongs to the jockey, keeping in mind that a professional like Mike De Kock, usually has his horses well tuned.

Morning Observer, I would tend to agree with you, the horse was a difficult ride, however considering Shea's experience, I am sure he also feels he should have won on the horse, but that's racing.
