Will someone please explain the difference between bumper, chase & hurdles

bumper = NH Flat race
Hurdles = small thin obstacles
Fence = Large Thick obstacles
Hurdles = small thin obstacles
Fence = Large Thick obstacles

Bumper is a flat race run on a jumps track, NHB = national hunt bumper.
chase is over fences large obstacles and hurdles are small brush obstacles that give way when you hit them as opposed to fences where sad to say the horse gives way!
