Race 6, African Pride (7/2), the only maiden in the race and joint second favourite - for me the fact that Lerena sticks with this one speaks volumes. Under handicap conditions he would ordinarily be getting weight from the entire field, between the trainer and jockey, they seem to feel he must have a chance, otherwise why enter him against winners.

Each year, this meeting, the track has a wicked bias favouring the horses with the lower draws. Think African Prides style of running, if getting away on terms, make him a runner here. Won't have to tack across and be ridden for luck with a wall of horses in front of him and tiring horses falling back on those coming from behind. 

Yawn ....

The word on the street is African will take some beating. Use it or don't use it, be blessed.

race 1 : let's go Lola 12/10 , was 100/1 first time out so this is not for me 

Race 10: Now I got you 5/2 , think this is jockeys first ride and won't be scrambling to take that price on this one 

Have also been told African Pride is a beast 
Direct Hit the banker but a very competitive card and exotics worth a bash
