Does anyone know if these have been published yet and if so where can they be found?

I prefer JWB, but everyone to their own choice.

Furosemide (INN) or frusemide (former BAN) is a loop diuretic used in the treatment of congestive heart failure and edema. It is most commonly marketed by Sanofi-Aventis under the brand name Lasix. It has also been used to prevent thoroughbred and standard bred race horses from bleeding through the nose during races.

Along with some other diuretics, furosemide is also included on the World Anti-Doping Agency's banned drug list due to its alleged use as a masking agent for other drugs.

Lasix works, but the breed would be better of not using it and culling bloodlines that carry the genes. Owners want it banned. Trainer want to use it. Some vets that need the money want it. But the best vets and breeders want to ban it because in the long run it downgrades the breed.

Remember the races held at the Vaal last year on the maidens who were randomly allocated either Lasix or Placebo to determine whether or not it has an effect on a racehorses performance??

There has been enough time now to analyse those results and they need to be published somewhere..Im just asking if anyone knows what happened to them?

The results have not been made public as promised.
WHY? I believe because the team did not get the results they wanted to prove what a miracle drug lasix is in racing.
If one looks at the results of some races there is not a shadow of doubt that some horses ran the same race on lasix or nothing.
To race on lasix is going to be expensive as a trainer with many runners will need a resident vet. They of course will love it.
The RSA went backwards when we started importing all the stallions from the USA whoo were bleeders and raced on lasix.
Barry is right about downgrading.
