What are the characteristics of SCT course that makes it so challenging? Any historical views? Did they not relay the turf? Plus, is there not a 500m to end rise in the straight? If so, the latter would favor runners handy coming off the pace or even closers. It was interesting that in Race 1 #1 dictated a moderate pace from the front and with maybe 300m out started picking it up in the middle of the track and #6 come from last on the inside to almost snag the winner, so it sees to me the track has a dual nature. Maybe if #6 came to the outside he may have had more traction? Not sure. Will have to see how the other races unfold to develop a better sense for how the track runs today.

Good luck trying to figure it out... I have tried but there are always strange results coming from everywhere on that track. The straight had a false rail the last time which made the inside better that the traditional outside. There is little transparency as what is actually happening to that track besides telling you how much they watered...

Bit of a specialist track, but to my mind has always favored closers... in sprints if your fancy is leading early you can usually kiss your money goodbye.

I have not been profitable at SCT when I have usually played there, which is not often plus today many races have short-priced double favorites which makes me nervous.

Yep like #6 in the first race #10 Bruh came from near last and with 300m to go moved up prominently to snag 7 who led for a while and faded as both Bruh and #4 came sweeping past. I played that exacta straight as my software rated 10 above 4 by several points and also the swinger 10/7 which was R7.00 at the off, I think. Played no tri or qat. Would have preferred the exacta 10/7 which offered R35.
