Good run but do you really have to fly Lerena over to the states to sit stone last two lengths off the second to last horse?
Any jock can do that

I thought it was an outstanding run from OS considering the class he was up against...
It also takes a lot of guts from a jock to hold up a horse when your very instinct is to be up with the pace. I think the real issue is that the jocks need a couple of races to read the running of the track...

Why are people always afraid to call it a kak ride when our so 'champ' rides. Its a kak ride. When you ride a Champion...be positive. When u up against a field of that class, there is no way you running them down from the back

I thought it was a very good ride and fail to see how it could have panned out differently. One Stripe races from off them and has performed best doing so, if he forces the horse to the front and then runs 4th would that be best? Gavin is world class and obviously he has a relationship with the horse and owners, i don't see the down side?
I think that sometimes we tend to lose sight that South Africa has a locally bred horse from a population 10 times smaller than the US. This horse is racing against horses that cost ten times more at the sales and is able to compete. What an era we live in where we have owners that are willing to compete with the best and take us along for the ride, and we get to watch it live... WOW

I wish I knew everything....For me, in all honesty I only know 60% of what I wish I know. Thats why I still do 3hrs of research daily. The thing i do know is....I do KNOW MUCH MORE than most. Yall are always so insecure when your knowledge is challenged. You are happy with the limited knowledge you have. Stuck in the ways of the past. But...TO EACH HIS OWN.
Btw....all the kak I have talked on here, most of it seem to hit the mark????!!!!! So than, i guess...i do know something. I was literally trying to open your eyes just like I tried with Sectional Timing...hahahahhaa
All the best👍👍👍👍
Have a Good day all:)

what is NOT in Gavin's favour is when they allow him TO RIDE 1 HORSE PER MEETING.
Now if he had 2 or 3 rides before OS big race... he'd certainly get the feel of the track - on the day.
But U.S.A. won't allow more rides- why on earth not ?
