We can hope for a cracking race, JJ is waiting, bring them on!

TOP Dubai-based sprinter Star Crowned could be on his way to Hong Kong after running out a convincing winner of the featured 5f conditions event at Jebel Ali on Friday.

Kuwaiti trainer Rashed Bouresly is hoping for an invitation to the Hong Kong Sprint on December 14 after the five-year-old ran out the convincing winner of what was the best race of the UAE season to date.

Formerly trained by Brian Meehan, the entire son of Kingmambo cost only 2,000gns at the Tattersalls July Sale in 2007.

Star Crowned went on to win his first two UAE races, breaking the track record over 5f at Nad Al Sheba in the process, before finishing a fine third in the Golden Shaheen and then coming fifth in Singapore.

"We want to go to Hong Kong certainly and we just hope he gets invited after this run," said Bouresly."I really think he is a better horse this season and he will have needed that run."

Winning jockey Tadhg O'Shea added: "He took a massive gulp a furlong out and has had a good blow afterwards. He is very quick and I would love to go to Hong Kong with him."

Star Crowned was chased home by stable companion League Champion to complete a one-two for Bouresly, while Salaam Dubai, placed in the Golden Shaheen in 2007, tired in the final furlong to finish a creditable fifth.
