Do It Again
4 days 7 hours ago - 4 days 7 hours ago
Morning all,
I was listening to Steely Dan this morning when Do It Again came on.
It got me thinking. Do It Again was a Durban July winner, and with the non-South African citizens being sent across the border and back again, they're certainly doing it again too.
Sadly, we won't have the July to look forward to this weekend, but we can certainly do it again when it comes to spectacular sport.
We'll have to wait until 26 July for the Gold Cup, where the favourite should be King Pelles. That said, I'm hoping the Dawson ladies have Enflame firing on all cylinders.
HKJC Champion Cup
With no disrespect to this year's July field, the HKJC Champion Cup line-up looks a stronger contest.
Star Major, Eight On Eighteen, See It Again and The Real Prince could all have started among the favourites for the July.
Let's hope Andrew can do it again aboard See It Again.
Overseas
We could be treated to the race of the season when Ombudsman takes on Constitution River in the Juddmonte at York on 19 August.
Wimbledon
I've lost interest in the ladies' championship after Aryna Sabalenka was beaten. I'll certainly miss watching her. 😢
As for the men's event, we'd all love to see Novak Djokovic produce another vintage performance, but Jannik Sinner looks the man to beat.
FIFA World Cup
The World Cup has delivered plenty of drama, and now we're into the business end of the tournament.
Hopefully, there's even more excitement and goals to come.
Kylian Mbappé (France) and Lionel Messi (Argentina) remain my picks for the Golden Boot, although Harry Kane and Erling Haaland will be giving it everything. England v Norway should be an absolute cracker.
Rugby
The Springboks continue to look outstanding.
Scotland face an almost impossible task, but after their victory over Argentina, I'll be taking Scotland +22.5 on the handicap to keep things respectable.
There are plenty of other cracking fixtures to enjoy as well.
Good punting 👍
And... Do It Again.

Certainly the Boks will be favorite (but not by 22 points) and win

Scotland have gone shorter again
Maybe they can actually 🤔 win
