THERE is British interest in both Listed races at Saint-Cloud on Tuesday, where Tony Hamilton rides Goliaths Boy for Richard Fahey in the Prix Isonomy and Hayley Turner partners Just Like A Woman for Michael Bell in the Prix Ceres.
Goliaths Boy, a 13-length winner of a minor race at Catterick last month, takes on seven other juveniles over 1m in the Isonomy.
The best may be Guerande, who made a promising winning debut on holding ground at Maisons-Laffitte this month.
Turner won her first Group race at Hannover this month, and Just Like A Woman will have 15 opponents over 7f in the Ceres, restricted to three-year-old fillies.
The likely favourite is the Richard Gibson-trained Verba, who was a good second to Windsor Forest winner Sabana Perdida in the Group 3 Chartwell Fillies Stakes at Lingfield in May.
She was off the course until October, when a good second in a Listed race at Chantilly.
Just Like A Woman is consistent and made it to the winner's enclosure for the first time this season at Salisbury in September. She was second in a similar event last time out.
An ability to act on testing ground will be essential as clerk of the course Christian Leger reported the going on Monday as "heavy to very heavy".
