Positive and Negative

With all this talk about positive and negative it’s hard to decide what is positive and what is negative. I know what I read and my instinct tells me that where there is smoke there is definitely a fire brewing.

I honestly do not believe that the so called "rebel bunch" sat in a corner and dreamed up an attack on the powers that be purely out of a lack of something better to do.

As I've said above I'm not in a position to comment on the nuts and bolts of what is going on in the "science labs' of racing, but must admit that I am disappointed with the stance taken by the man from Dark side of the moon. I do not see why every poster who is local to ABC should be painted with one brush. I am proud to be labelled as being a clansman as this site allows freedom of expression, open debate without dictatorship, moderation or toy throwing from the cot. ABC feels like my own and I am my own moderator and dont need explain myself to its owner. On the other side it seems that you will always be a guest in someone elses home as opposed to making the site your own.

I was hoping that initiatives such as Hollybucks would bring posters together unified under the banner of racing but instead we get abuse hurled across the "WORLD wide web". It’s another sad day in SA racing with talks of revolution on the lips of those on the inside. The question is "what is a revolution?" Not every revolution is a good one and who is revolting against who? Are the powers that be revolting against themselves? Surely not, maybe this is a warning to GC to get their bags packed. The hostile takeover is about to begin.

These forums were created to allow us to express our views. It has always been up to us to control what flows from our minds and it is up to us to decide how we want the world to view who we are, and I am sure that it is not the intention of these sites purely to stroke egos of their owners or any other member of either forum.

I actually feel sorry for negative people, but its everyone's choice in life.

and trust me as the years go bye, you have to ask yourself "am I a happy chappy" or a "miserable bastard"?

Everyone has a choice in life, so it makes no difference to me what approach individuals take in life, as its their lives.

Hi Scotia - I did try and put off posting this as I am sure that you would prefer this topic to fall off the radar. I just dont believe that generalisations are fair to many of the posters on this site. I do also believe that Cat is entitled to express his views and he has raised many questions which probably need answering. It is important for them to note that he expressed them as a member of Freeracer and an individual. Why a general attack on ABC?

I must admit that the excitment is building on my side for the Summer Cup. Looking forward to seeing the big guns again.

I wish all involved in the event the best and I hope that you Gautengers are one step closer to the dream of having a "July" in Gauteng.

I agree, I hate the constant general attacks against ABC,I have met many racing people who refuse to post or have been told not to post on the site due to the "bad name"? we have in racing circles, which I find totally unjustified, (now you are making me negative), hehe,

I will however continue to allow the posters to have a say, and hope that one day that trainers/jockeys/grooms/punters/owners etc, etc, will feel free to highlight concerns as well as praise and post what's on their minds and not be intimidated by others with perceptions/theories of the site.
