Vaal race 9 deductions

In Vaal race 9 today there were two late scratchings, both apparently 5/1. Both bettingworld and interbet claimed two 20% deductions on the winner, although they were laying 6/1 and 8/1 about the scratched horses at the time of scratching.

Apparently Marshalls World of Sport don’t depend on deductions to make a profit from horseracing – their total deduction came to 23,5% - how the F#@%? do the other wankers get clients and keep them?
