How do you find those winners ?

On Sat I had 4 friends visiting from Zim & we trekked off to Turffontein cause Frodo & I had a runner on the day.
Let me explain my yankee 52,000 / 10 don't get too excited cause it did not win.

R1 my friends dog in Zim called beejay..... hence put in beebeejay in yankee
horse ran 2nd

R5) my friends surname is Power.... put in First power in yankee
horse ran 3rd

R6) Our horse Frodo / Elvis horse walked over the line in LAST place... jockey sure gave this horse an " indifferent ride " I would like to see this race again in slow motion.

R7) Friends wife is called Maggie Kriel.....the horse Maggie Kay had to be the selection for the day. I preeched it to all in our " box " but I had now convinced myself that so far I had picked 2 places & no winner so I opted out for places only.

MAGGIE KAY held on from start to finish & ALL & sundry were shouting this one home in our box.

I'm not moaning too much, the place was R 33.40 ( best place bet I've ever had )

The WIN paid R 129.20 & Maggies husband who is a novice to the races put on R 100.00 win..... he collected a cool R 12,920.00 not too shabby for R 100 at his FIRST VISIT TO TURFFONTEIN.

Needless to say this horse stuck out like a sore thum...BUT IT'S ALWAYS EASIER AFTERWARDS.....MAGGIE KAY / MAGGIE MAY - by Mr Rod Stewart.... had to sh!t in..& how about those odds !

And yes we all did go to the concert on Sat night & what a show it was... sorry I didn't see you there Scotia.

I was up the front throwing my tartan under rods at Rod, only bad part of the show was seeing the Celtic emblem on the drum kits, but agree the show was superb!
