Pair just miss out on £1.6m Scoop6 bonus
TWO company directors were denied Saturday's biggest ever Scoop6 bonus fund by the narrowest of margins.
Lawrence Ireland and Ray Stubbs watched the bonus race, the 2m handicap hurdle from Doncaster (3.20), alongside the Channel 4 racing team from the abandoned Cheltenham, andsaw their selection Duke Of Touraine touched off by the Tom Tate-trained Charlie Crab.
The pair decided to collude and share the £1,639,359 on offer if they won, originally selecting the Howard Johnson-trained Gringo, but when the six-year-old was withdrawn they opted for Riguez Dancer alongside bottom-weight and eventual second Duke Of Touraine.

I had to have a nibble on Charlie Crab, only pity is that it was £10.00
