BBC sports personality/SA ?
16 years 5 months ago
I was checking the betting for the UK sports personality.
Rebecca Adlington 6/10
Lewis Hamilton 3/1
Chris Hay 6/1
Joe Calzaghe 150/1
and thinking what price would MDK for the SA?

Surprised Lewis not the fav.
MDK would not be even priced up.

Yes guys, we have a long way to go to raise the profile of horse racing, when you consider its HUGE in the U.K. and gets "51 seconds".
LESS than a minute was devoted to racing in the BBC's Sports Personality of the Year programme on Sunday night, which overran its two-hour time slot.
Mention was made of Tony McCoy's 13th championship during the 51-second segment, but it must have been galling for his legion of supporters to earlier hear presenter Sue Barker describe cyclist Chris Hoy, who won three gold medals at the Beijing Olympics, as "the real McCoy".
Hoy, who was supported by a strong campaign in his native Scotland, took the crown ahead of Lewis Hamilton and Rebecca Adlington. There was no racing representative among the ten nominees for the prestigious award.
Comply Or Die featured in the opening titles sequence, but viewers had to wait almost an hour into the show before seeing the Grand National winner in action, as co-host
Jake Humphrey briefly trained the spotlight on a year of achievement in racing, while Clare Balding sat in the audience looking on.
There was footage of Denman's epic Gold Cup success, and the quickfire round-up included New Approach winning the Derby, along with reference to Aidan O'Brien winning 23 Group 1 races in the year.
Frankie Dettori's flying dismount from Breeders' Cup Classic winner Raven's Pass was shown, Ryan Moore was saluted as champion jockey, and the slot ended with Zarkava's Arc victory.

Do we have a sports personality of the year award? If not we should and I think MDK would be very hard to ignore

My sports personality would be amputee swimmer Natalie Du Toit. She competed in one of the toughest endurance events at the Olympics. Even the Russian winner of the 10km sea swim was in awe of her.
Surely some huge yard/owner overseas will snap up MDK. At the moment it is like Alex Ferguson coaching Moroka Swallows
