A special thought and thanks go out to those who have made contributions to the game whether it be through legal battles of the barbarians or showing that punters have a heart, (generous prize donation by Chunkie Charlie (I think) to the recent charity day).
Catsmug put it so aptly the other day when describing the excitement of Cukoo following Zorbas tale's win. Sometimes we forget what the game is about and get wrapped up in the mechanics, when the reason that we are in it is for the pure exhiliration of watching sports folk and animals achieve the near impossible at times.
Thank you to the Jockeys, trainers, grooms and horses for the hours of work that you put in order to provide us with this wonderfull show that is racing and may you have a wonderful day off tomorrow with your families.
To the RA and P and GC may you too have a wonderful day with your families and we hope that the time off will alow you time to reflect on the year that has been and the positives for the years that follow. We look forward to inspired decision making in the new year for the benefit of all stakeholders in racing. (please promote the P6 bet) - I had to try one last time in 2008.
