I for one would not want every spammer in the known universe to have free access to my email address as you are suggesting.
Going through the webmaster for email adresses is the safe route imo.

Aquino has breathing issues.
He ran dynamite in his first two races at Saratoga, then ran horribly in the next 2.
His breathing is considerably improved right now and he was entered yesterday, but we didn't like the spot, so will look for another one.
On his day, he is a very smart horse, but to be truthful, we don't know if his breathing will ever be normal, as he so many allergies it is difficult to keep his throat clear.

Dr. Mister Capone, spammers do not waste their times on small sites like ABC looking for fodder for their mill. Freethinkers should have nothing to fear as long as they are legitmate posters.

Mr Manjoo's generalisations lose him major points.
Black people have plenty of recognition and opportunity in this industry.
Drop the chips please and lets move on with merit being the only benchmark

Mr Irwin - Fair enough comment but I am almost certain that you and other prominant racing people that frequent this site, would not want to be constantly harrassed via email by said members. I have nothing to worry about as I have nothing to offer, but a person such as yourself and the other owners / trainers may be bombarded by requests for all types of wierd and wonderful things.
I have witnessed first hand how punters harrass owners on course, asking for money and advice and all types of nonsense. Why would anything be different on this website?

When Barry responds more than twice to a topic, you know its something close to his 'heart'. Anyway makes good reading.
I see Team Valor horses running a bit flat in SA recently, barring one.
Any comments? .
Regarding Bloomberg, the writing was on the wall a long time ago, also considering the history those two had in the past with ' Mr Sun International ' etc etc etc

Shikar, receiving e-mails on-line that are sourced from message boards has never been a problem in the U. S.
Team Valor not exactly on a hot streak of late, but is doing o. k. We experimented with a few and it didn't work out, like trying stretch out Chiquita. Greenwich Park can't go on soft, but is a really good prospect. Some of the 3yo fillies are doing well such as Gypsy's Warning and On Her Toes. Temair was fourth in the Guineas.
We have a special 2yo filly coming soon that I will tell you guys about when it gets closer to a race.
When On Her Toes won yesterday, it was win number 66 for our stable this year, which is exactly 22 wins or 50 percent greater wins than in any previous season over the past 22 years, so we are having a banner year, winning at exactly 20 percent, which is our average for the last 22 racing seasons. We've had 18 horses win or place in stakes, 11 Graded stakes winners, blah, blah, blah.

Well done and may next years results exceed this years expectations. Gypsys Warning has only Thin Red Line to beat today IMO. they have been close before so I reckon that these 2 should finish 1 and 2. In which order is the question?

I believe Charl P. is in the wrong but people like Hanif are so boring.
I'm 28 and let me tell you, people like Hanif really don't help the youth embrace the future.Their fixation with the past helps nobody, I really feel sorry for people like him as the past was unfair but may i suggest he gets over himself and apartheid.
Many white people may age have left the country because of affirmative action and I really hope they don't end up bitter and twisted about it. You can be sure I won't be harping on about it in 25 years time.

Party Line,
Given your choice, how would you address the lack of education on the part of those victims of apartheid, so that they can have an equal chance at opportunity?
Do the young people of South Africa bear absolutely no responsibility for the actions of their forbears?
I have an 18yo daughter that complains about not being able to gain entrance to certain universities because of "affirmative action" that gives minorities a better chance to get into school than the children of the majority.
I have tried to explain to her that the actions of her predecessors impacts how she will live in the present and the future. It is these people that must get over apartheid, not the victims.
At some point, those people and their offspring must accept responsibility and suck it up.

The fact of the matter is people from Europe colonised the Americas, Africa, India and Australasia. The result of that is the modern, English speaking world we have like it or not (including institutions like the jockey club etc).
While I have to agree with you that 'we' are benefactors and therefore responsible for our predecessors, I am always amazed how the wronged peoples are always clamouring for the very things that would not exist were it not for those unrighteous entrepreneurs who came in the first place. Universities are an excellent example one could say, and I hope my kids will find a place in my alma mater one day.
Perhaps the debt you are happy that your daughter must pay, whereby others are given a better chance, will someday be paid up. The only problem I have with affirmative action is if I'm in a plane serviced or piloted by A.A., or perhaps under the knife of an AA surgeon... in those cases I would just prefer that the best available got the job sans politics. I guess I can suck up the rest.

'History is boring!'-that's why nations of the world will never learn from the past, respect the present and always fear for the future!
When we become intransigent, insensitive & dogmatic, we lose that much of the humanity in us without realising it- one day, our children will censure all of us, black, white and brown: why did we not stand up against AA, 'apartheid', etc? Why did we not learn from history? Why did we not propose solutions? Did we promote understanding?
On the other hand, why did we not get involved selflessly in uplifting others? 'Apartheid' has left many with indelible scars (black & white), besides depriving blacks of education, opportunities, involvement, etc.
As an Indian/Coloured, I am also a victim of AA; members (professionals) of my family have also left the country. But, when I complain, it is not with selfishness, I also include whites and other blacks not in the mainstream economic/political activity. Many of us are just as disgruntled as you about the fairness/legitimacy of AA- 'job reservation' of horrid days by-gone days!
Yes, I also view AA as grossly problematic; but, I am for meaningful transformation & reconciliation to reflect the demographics of our country to benefit all sectors, not to enrich just a handful of blacks- that's where our future lies. Is that unfair? Unreasonable?
By the way, I am not being apologetic, 'boring' or seeking any form of sympathy; some things just have to be said or done, come the time!
