Not hate speech - Freedom Of Speech - I remember growing up being told that because i listened to KISS and Iron Maiden(and the Beatles and Stones!!! and even john denver!!!) I would not live past 25 because i was a "young Satanist druggie" - Kids will listen to music and grow out of it in time - I took a look at the lyrics of this Slipknot and i hope the kids that do listen to this stuff read them carefully using a dictionary as it seems far more challenging than the standard "move your booty fair" - i would like to think that parents have laid a good foundation that kids listen to music and realise that 90% has no passion or sincerity and is basically just written to get a reaction(publicity) and sell "ringtones" - As the Village People sang "Can't Stop the Music" - (and no listening to this group did not make me gay either)

And to think my mum and dad used to think the same about Led Zeppelin!

Bought a Led Zeppelin cd just before Christmas, double cd for R5.00, at Dions sale. What memories, Whatta whole lotta love, Black Dog, Stairway to Heaven etc.

I found the movie Titanic the biggest load of crap i've ever seen - would i ban it no - these guys have found a niche market to get rich (have a look at the WWF and you'll see where they found the inspiration) better to educate our kids to deal with life so they are not driven to find solace in rabid lyrics when teenage angst trottles their tortured souls
