After her last run I was ready to call it a day with her; but today she has finally produced her work at home on the track.

Funny that her half sister (Asylum Seeker - who runs in Aus on Saturday) won on debut on the 31st December a few years back, and now Gap has won on the 1st Jan!

Well done to all the partners - John (in Durban), Roy, Wally (in Mauritius - lucky fish) and of course my mate Elvis.

And to the filly; her Gap year is now past; this year we will not tolerate any gaps!

Well done guys good win,i've followed her for all her runs and she let me down,the day she decides to put it together she comes to find me.

If you study form and take her first 4 runs,you could back her in a c divion never mind a maiden.

Thanks for the congratulations, sorry that she had to find her best against one of yours. Yes her sister Asylum Seeker was exported to Aus and has had numerous setbacks; but she came out to run 3rd a couple of weeks ago and is due to run again tomorrow (Saturday)

Is that a NEW bookmaker in kelvins bar at the big T ? Just above his name on the betting board it says " LONG ODDS " & name below.

LONG ODDS MY ASS, I took a double sweet sanette onto gap year - I got 22 / 1 the double - SHOCKING odds. I queried the price with the bookmaker before taking my bet. They said Gap Year was 10 / 1 - TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT.

so it was a case of take the double NOW, or loose out. & GAP YEAR STARTED AT 25 / 1 I BELIEVE.

I was well & truly robbed by " LONG ODDS "
