MAGIC MILLIONS SALE
16 years 5 months ago
Intresting times ahead as the local contingent gets packed and ready for the Magic Millions sale at the Gold Coast in Brisbane,I wonder if our big boys will be spending millions on that side for horse flesh or have they thought that we have got the best in S A.Will we be relying on exports once again to do the job?

Is that the real zoro?? Boet I hear our big buyers not buying there this yr..Dylan is there and I know he is buying..they predict a large drop to last yr but rumours are that the breeders are gonna hold onto the horses if they dont get their reserves.

Wasnt like that....they still give trainers/owners a business class ticket and hotels for free....the cost is a drop in the ocean for the amount of comm money they make from the sales...

You apply through the right channels and they book everything for you, they are hoping you will buy but there are no guarantees....presume though if you dont buy first time around they may think twice about giving you a ticket next time.I went 2 years ago and only bought 1 horse, the trainer i was with bought another 4 and we were exceptionally well treated.....as i said in the big picture with their huge turnover a few tickets to SA buyers is nothing for them.....they did same turnover in one day as we did for our whole national sales.....big cost is getting the animals back here.
