My company has been rated as a level three contributor by a Bee agency. I have recently found out that if these companies issueing these certificates are not AVBA approved, then the certificates are of "no value".
If you visit the ABVA website you'll see that it states that NO Verification
Agencies are accredited by SANAS (SA National Accreditation System), however
the ones listed are being considered for accreditation.
Imvho, pleae be guided accordingly.

The SANAS thing is going to be another rip off. I see no point in securing accreditation if a company is sincere, has genuinely taken on blacks & is open to any scrutiny/verification by interested parties.
If there's going to be transformation, let it be done amicably with mutual honesty. Whilst I was on the Gambling Board, we had this applicant with a BEE partner (50% I think). The black 'partner' rocketted from being a 'tea-girl', to cleaner, cashier, office clerk and then director (partner) in the company WITHIN 6 MONTHS!
When I asked for this 'partner' to avail herself for questioning, my board shot it down- saying that we had to take the submissions in good faith and not cross-examine applicants! So, why request accreditation from anyone?
Similarly, at the casino licence hearings, when I tried to question some of the submissions, I was rudely reprimanded by the Chairman, with the bidders being told that they, inter alia;
* Were not obliged to asnwer my questioning line;
* the views of Mr Manjoo are not necessarily shared by the Board members!
SUCKS! AND sucks!
