Good morning all after what can only be described as a rollercoaster holiday.
The family has gone back to Scotland, every day was fun filled and very social.
We were on planes on boats in restaurants at the track in the sea, you name it we squeezed it all in.
Some of the highlights were the boat trip to Mozambique and the day at Barra Lodge, a trip to Durban to meet Wally and a visit to Ushaka and I must rate our lunch at Cargo Hold as one of the best restaurants I have ever been in (and I have been to many). In addition a good time at La Lucia.
Not to forget Clan Classique winning her debut, timing perfect.
The negatives were few, but the lost luggage between France and S.A. was a hassle for the sister-in-law, who had to get on the boat without her bag for 4 days after many broken promises and in addition a further 2 pieces of luggage were lost for 36 hrs from Durban to Joburg.
Plenty has been said on the Forum with regards to our "Clanness", in addition to the interviews and Brent's radio show, but I would just like to again thank Jess for choosing "another" winner, Paul for the perfect ride and Lucky for all his hard work. Well done to all the guys in the syndicate and I will try and put together another horse in the near future.
Competitions will start again soon with a prize for Met day on the cards.
I have been told we are now on a health kick for the next few weeks, but with a Burns supper coming up and plenty races, in might be a problem? I am going to get a couple of these patches for the soles of the feet and try and drink singles, wish me luck.
Next big event is the Met and still feel that Dancers can give the Pocket a run for his money.
Cheltenham festival is starting to take shape and Binocular for the Champion Hurdle, the clash between Denman and Kauto and Master Minded just having to turn up for the Champion Chase makes it a meeting to look forward to.
good punting!
