to add a lifetime ban from all SA racing tracks should be in order for this idiot, although i'm guessing if he loses the 10 gallon hat it would be hard to pick him up all the time.

Has it crossed anyones mind that the horse got beat twice using front running tactics,so surely they're entitled to try different tactics.
As the saying goes, if you dont try you'll never know.
Thats just my 2 cents worth.

Strydoms mount was outpaced by the winner, and he was working hard from the 400m but made no real impression

In the interview sounded like Charles Laird expects Tie The Knot to win his races

These blokes that are continually alluding that jockeys are “no good” and “crook” – if you firmly believe this, you must be brainless if you then still punt horses.

Whatever we believe, I'm sure we can all agree (even a brainless dope like me) that the more transparency in racing the better. So, if the stable of Omega Warrior were to report back to the public as to whether it was failed tactics, bad jockeyship or a better horse that beat them, that would be great.
There are enough rumblings (and apparently a very public incident at the racecourse) about Omega Warrior to warrant at least a cursory enquiry.
It would be great to live in blissfull ignorance like Fingers and believe that checks and balances aren't necessary in racing, but the truth is that racing authorities have to make sure that all jockeys performances are scrutinised.
If Hansie Cronje was lured by the temptations of Pakistani bookmakers, can we honestly believe that all our jockeys are more honest and trustworthy than he was ?

Well they could hardly be LESS honest and trustworthy than Cronje, could they.

Omega Warrior is running again at the Vaal next Thursday with Fortune up.
Strydom doesn't have a ride in the race.
