Good morning to you all, and I am afraid to say another uninspiring days racing, but never mind, it will soon be Tuesday.

Flamingo Park is on the local agenda, and can't say much apart from the fact that Lawful Leader would appear to win plenty races at the track and with Andrew Fortune on board, I suppose today should be no exception?

The weather has been playing havoc in the UK, but maybe McCoy will have a change of luck at Plumpton. He has Excape, Miss Sarenne, Restless Dartaix and Hello Moscow all with good chances, where the best bet of the day should be Millenium Royal and in the bumper Fabulous Fred can follow up after a good debut.
Kempton: where Longboat Key is the banker and at Wolves: Eighteenfifty.

Plenty good "info" on the site over the weekend and hopefully some more expert advise on a difficult day?

Post you thoughts.

good punting!

MEL KAPLAN Racing express.

LAWFUL Leader has won 13 races at Flamingo Park. He is ideally suited to the 1800m he races over in Race 5 at the Kimberley track on Monday and should be the one that they all chase home yet again. Andrew Fortune is up again and he and the Brazilian-bred gelding have struck up a formidable partnership.

He starts form the widest draw in the 10-horse field but there is a long back straight and his rider will have plenty of time to overcome any possible disadvantage that the wide berth holds.

The Roi Normand gelding has taken his last five wins at Flamingo Park by an average margin of more than 6 lengths. He is a fighter and will give no quarter if he is tackled in the straight even with a welter 64kg burden.

Lawful Leader is not heavily raced as he has been to the track only 27 times of which he has won 13. Trainer Peter Miller has two other runners with decent form in the race plus another who has been a tad disappointing but they are all there to back up Lawful Leader should he fluff his lines.

Cape Chestnut won well when beating another Miller inmate Mogul in a Pinnacle Plate here on 15 December. He has been beaten over 15 lengths by Lawful Leader and will battle to reverse that result whatever changes there might be. Anytime Dancer is a bit unpredictable but he has a good draw (five) and has won two of his last three starts, all over this course and distance. He should also be right there at the finish but Magical Muse could be the fly in the ointment.

Trained by Ernest Mileham, he has held form well for five successive races. Although the raw form suggests that he should be held by Lawful Leader, there is a lot to like about his recent runs and he is expected to make big improvement.

Malachi in Race 2 is another potentially profitable betting proposition as he showed good improvement last time in his Vaal turf race won by Snazzy Jazz.

I notice that no betting for Flamingo Park, but one of the punters is requesting 10,000/1000 Sassy Style in the first.

Fortune objected and it was upheld.

The bookies would have been objecting if the result was reversed - 50/1 down to 7/1. Would have been big hidings all round.

All the best to you and Clan partners for tomorrow Scotia. 1800 sand will be quite testing I am sure, but she seems to have the stamina. The others were working hard and she was cruising when she won the maiden.

Will not be able to watch but wil be rooting for her in silence.
