Guys the Super 14 starts tomorrow and we have launched the Super 14 Handicap Competition with FantasySports.

The competition is great for the hardened punter (of which I know there are plenty on this site) and the fan who wants to learn about handicap betting.

Basically each match is handicapped and you simply make your selections each week, it takes next to no time to do and is a true test of skill.

Let’s take Saturday’s match at Loftus between the Bulls and the Reds. Most of you would have marked a Bulls win amongst your predictions but in the Handicap League the Reds are +12.5 meaning that whatever the final score is you add 12.5 points to the Reds tally to see who wins.

Say for example the Bulls win 31-20, had you taken the Reds +12.5 you would be credited for a correct prediction as by adding in the handicap they actually edge the Bulls 31-32.5. The reason for the half point is to do away with the tie and ensure that luck to a large degree is taken out of the equation.

The league promises to be great fun and there are also great prizes up for grabs courtesy of sponsors All Africa Poker and Betting World who are also providing the handicaps.

Then click on 2009 Super 14 Handicaps (towards the top right of page) and enter your team.
