Huge raceday and we have to watch Newbury rather than watch DD and co go down to the start. Not available on any other channel so we left to view the last seconds of the loading of a feature race

absolutely right alcaponee..its a group 1 and also massive hype around dd and they show some 6000 metre race from newbury..surely you sit down and make sure these canter pasts are taken.

Tellytrack is very frustrating...I had a horse running in the Aquanaut Handicap which was a Listed race and instead of showing the horses ringing at the start so we could see how they were behaving, sweating up, relaxed etc...they put up a blue screen with betting for Kenilworth for a race 17 min away. This was done just 3 mins before a feature race, not nice when you are watching your horse from DBN. The Newbury/DD episode was even more pathetic! We seriously need a seperate channel for SA racing and International racing. Recently when I was in Aus they had an extremely busy international/betting/racing/dogs/horses/carts racing etc as well as SEPERATE a channel which focused on the bigger city meetings with awesome interviews, previews and coverage of racing. THE AUTHORITES always say we need champions for the game to survive let alone grow and we end up with the most pathetic shots of these equine heroes...THEY DESERVE MORE AIRTIME!

The constant punting of the Newbury Jackpot rather than the canter pass for the Fillies Guineas al quite annoying.

These are our big races and we want to enjoy as much as we can of them and not to have to listen to racing in Newbury which know very little about.

Imagine watching rugby and the commentator is telling you about an english football match. Who gives a ......

Not directed at Shaheen as I am sure his job is to push this crap.

Phumelela is interested in betting not sport, especially local sport. They have shareholders to think of first, the sport second. Somebody on the board of directors needs to explain to them that without the sport, there is no betting. Sport must come first, then betting will follow. But they treat punters as though they are degenerate gamblers with a bad habit.

Barry, there is nothing to suppest Phumelela is wrong! Tellytrack is used to turn racing into a casino style experience-give the suckers something to bet on every few minutes is the official approach. Tellytrack is overloaded as a result and is a mighty pain to watch at times, but a sports channel it ain't.

Barry Phum have been told that over and over again..I personally spoke to the CEO. The next step in SA is Virtual Racing watch my words. If it was up to them they would love to run horse racing without the horses/trainers/owners and especially without forum posters!

Job Creation and corporate responsibility. They wont get away with killing the sport.

They just need a senior director with balls to cut a few dead pieces of wood and get some new dynamic people to run the local ops. The dude in UK is not it.

Sorting out the confusion of who is responible for what would be a good start.
