Harness Racing at Greyville night meeting 27 March 2009

Was at the track last night for the first time in a year and saw these posters. Isnt this shit run on sand? Last time i saw greyville had green pastures. 27 days to go. What the hell have these guys planned? P.S.Must admit as well some regular bookmakers guts have swelled quite abit since i last saw them. Dont even mention their assistants on the computers.

They planning Ben Hur styled duels with Jocks and Trainers each getting their own chariot

Strydom vs Azzie
Strydom vs Woody

I beleive there will be one race over 3 laps Cats vs. Flaming Spiders

Perhaps even an event with P director vs a GC Board member.

The feature event will be ra Chairman vs Cuckoo.

All will be held in the parking lot outside greyville as not to damage the racing surface for the real horsies.

Public showing and time trials for the harness racing advertised for Thursday, 8 AM, 12 March at Greyville.

Not a harness racing fan, but maybe the free coffee and doughnuts on offer will get me there, for curiosity sake.

Entry level for Harness Racing participation quite substantially lower than thoroughbreds and thus it should have a wider appeal.

Whats the bet Hollywood have a Harness horse in less than 6 months?
