Local racing Sunday
16 years 3 months ago
Good morning, after a long hectic wedding, I am still alive!
We have the VAAL and Clairwood today.
At the Vaal Blue Nile and Eight Street look the bankers and Magical 5/2 Interbet have 7/2. but more activity on the KZN meeting where:
Lunatic Fringe 3/1, 5/1 on offer
Askari 5/2 where 4/1 on offer and the same for Goat.
Great Khan at 16/10, will probably shorten?
post your fancies and
good punting!

I have a runner in the 5th race Clairwood today, last I checked he was 40/1 (bottom of the board) but I rate his chances to at least run into the places. His only two really bad runs (apart from needing it when coming from a rest and his work interrupted by rain) was when he was injured in races. There's obviously some if's and buts like the 1200m that's on the short side.
He is working very well and my favorite jock Fish Sturgeon know him. We ran The Big Ask to a fast finishing neck at Scotsville and don't think this field is too strong.

Thanks Southpaw. I see he was claimed yesterday into 20/1 so the 4 fixed places R7.80 is gone, unfortunately I missed it.

Can i ask why we have A Vaal meet on a Sunday? Its as exciting as visiting and Old Age home or Grave Yard.

Sylvester, I may be wrong but I think Vaal today replaced the Randjies meeting.
